Semifinalists for Yukica Football Player of the Year Award announced

Just like the list of football teams has been whittled down for the start of the postseason, the list of names for the Joe Yukica Player of the Year Award has as well.

The Yukica/New Hampshire Chapter of the National Football Foundation announced Thursday the 10 semifinals for the 2024 award, as chosen by the foundation’s committee.

The 10 semifinalists are:

• Daniel Batstone, Exeter
• Anthony Digiantommaso, Trinity
• Brody Helton, Bedford
• Scott Hershberger, Campbell
• Junior MacKinnon, Pelham
• Bennett Matthews, Bedford
• Matt Morrison, Pinkerton
• Sam Ogden, Londonderry
• Ryan Rocheleau, Alvirne
• Kevin Todisco, Salem

The Yukica Award is give to the most outstanding NHIAA football player each season. Three finalists from the list of 10 will be named on Nov. 21 and the winner will be announced on Nov. 28. Each will be determined through voting by NHIAA head coaches and members of the New Hampshire sports media.
