Souhegan boys knock off Coe-Brown

The Souhegan High School boys tennis team got its second win of the season Friday, beating Coe-Brown Academy 8-1 in Division II action.

The Sabers got a win at No. 1 singles from Nick Poulack, who defeated Jacob Zylack 8-6, and also teamed with Nate Redington to beat Sean Carlson and Nick Kaschak 8-5 in the No. 1 doubles match.

Redington also won the No. 3 match, beating Josh Macri 8-6, while Souhegan’s Matt Protzmann defeated Sonny Im 8-2 in the No. 4 singles match. David Monleon gave Souhegan a win at No. 5 singles, beating Kaschak 8-5, while the Sabers got a win from Ben Bacher in the No. 6 singles match, who won 8-0 over Mark Dunkealy.

Liam Murphy fell in the No. 2 singles match, 8-6 to Carlson, but Murphy and Protzmann won the No. 2 doubles match, 8-6, over Marci and Zylack. Bacher and Jason Emmond knocked off Im and Dunkealy in the No. 3 match 8-1.
