Souhegan boys sweep Milford

The Souhegan High School boys tennis team snapped a two-match skid by beating Milford on Monday 9-0.

Nick Poulack, Nate Redington and David Monleon swept their singles matches as the Sabers improved to 3-2 in Division II; Milford dropped to 0-6.

Poulack won the No. 1 match 8-0 over Trevor Frost while Liam Murphy pulled out an 8-6 win over Ben Lambert in the No. 2 match. Matt Protzmann took the No. 3 match, beating Mike Arnoldy 8-2, while Redington got an 8-0 win over Kent Maggelet at No. 4. Monleon also won 8-0 at No. 5, knocking off John McManus. Alex Paquin completed the singles sweep for Souhegan, winning the No. 6 match 8-1 over Mark Kobzik.

Poulack and Redington won the No. 1 doubles match 8-1 over Frost and Arnoldy, and Murphy and Protzmann won the No. 2 match 8-2 over Lambert and Kobzik. Ben Bacher and Jason Emmond took the No. 3 match 8-1, beating McManus and Reynolds.
