Kent scored in the fourth minute and added another goal in the 75th minute to close out the Sabers’ second championship in the last three years and the program’s 12th overall. Mikaela Sullivan made one save in goal for No. 3 Souhegan (16-3-1).

No. 9 Pembroke (13-7), which knocked off No. 1 Portsmouth and No. 5 Coe-Brown to reach the final, got four saves from goalie Kristin Kezar.

The Spartans put pressure on the Sabers at the start of the game, but Souhegan thwarted the chance and sent the ball the other way. Kent’s corner kick bounced in the box and took a sideways bounce past a stunned pair of Pembroke defenders into the goal.

The senior then added her second goal – sixth of the tournament – on a free kick late in the game, sending a shot over the outstretched arm of Kezar.
