Souhegan, which defeated Pinkerton last week, switched spots in the poll with the Astros, as the Sabers moved up to the fourth spot for the first time this year.
Bishop Guertin and Bedford remained in the top two spots, setting up a huge No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup later this week. The Cardinals will host the Bulldogs for a 6 p.m. start on Thursday and then Bishop Guertin will host Franklin, the No. 2 ranked team in Massachusetts, on Saturday at 1 p.m. Bedford plays at Merrimack on Wednesday before Thursday’s big game.
Portsmouth held on to the third spot after falling to Bedford last week in overtime. The Clippers will host Oyster River-Newmarket at 4:15 p.m. on Monday before heading to Pinkerton on Wednesday and to Winnacunnet on Friday. Souhegan will host Concord on Tuesday before traveling to face Keene-Monadnock on Friday.
Pinkerton, which rounds out the top five, will host Merrimack at 4 p.m. on Monday before its games against Portsmouth on Wednesday and Dover on Friday.
Windham and Hollis Brookline stayed at Nos. 6 and 7, respectively, before their big meeting next week. The Jaguars will host Manchester Memorial-West on Monday before traveling to Hanover for Thursday. The Cavaliers are on the road this week, going to Timberlane on Monday and ConVal on Thursday.
Despite dropping its second game of the year at Dover last Friday, Nashua South moved up a spot to No. 8. The Panthers have just one game this week, as they host Exeter on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The Blue Hawks switched spots with South, dropping to No. 9. Exeter will host Concord on Wednesday and go to Manchester Central on Friday.
Hopkinton moves back into the top 10 ahead of its big D3 matchup with Bow at 4 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks beat the Falcons in overtime in the teams’ first game of the season. Hopkinton also hosts Derryfield, which received votes this week, on Wednesday.
