Souhegan stops skid with win

The Souhegan High School boys tennis team snapped a three-match skid by beating Windham Monday 6-3.

Souhegan’s Nick Poulack battled David Hutchings for a win at No. 1 singles, 9-8 (7-4), and Poulack and Nate Redington teamed up to win the No. 1 doubles match, 8-4 over Hutchings and Tyler Somen.

Matt Protzmann also got a win for the Sabers (6-5), beating Andrew Sun 8-3 at No. 3. David Monleon defeated David Breshnahan 8-4 at No. 5 for Souhegan and Ben Bacher won the No. 6 match, beating David Musto 8-0.

Somen won the No. 2 singles match, beating Liam Murphy 8-0, and George Piduysotski knocked off Redington 8-4 at No. 4.

Sun and Bresnahan won the No. 2 doubles match over Muprhy and Protzmann, 8-6, but Souhegan’s Bacher and Emmond knocked off Mustro and Brandt 8-4 in the No. 3 match.
