DOVER – Talula Gregg was ready to end Saturday’s Division III field hockey quarterfinal, so she did.
The St. Thomas Aquinas High School senior collected a rebound off the pads of Mascoma Valley goalie Sam Harkins and put it in the back of the cage with under a minute remaining in overtime.
It was Gregg’s third goal of the game, giving the No. 4 Saints a 3-2 win over the No. 5 Royals and putting them in the semifinals for the first time since 2003. St. Thomas will face top-seeded Berlin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bill Ball Stadium in Exeter.
