Sunapee girls soccer scores early, holds off Newport

The Sunapee High School girls soccer team got an early go to open each half and held off Newport for a 3-0 win Tuesday.

Dani Usko scored just 20 seconds into the game for the Lakers (8-1 in Division IV), off an assist from Kate Frederick, and Taylor O’Mara made it 2-0 by scoring off an assist from Syd Clark before halftime.

In the second, Taylor Usko made it 3-0 early, with Clark getting the assist.
