NASHUA – With the Thornton Academy boys basketball team in need of a game-winning basket, there was one player for the Trojans to turn.
Jack Pyzynski took the ball with less than five seconds on the clock, got a couple of steps over midcourt and let fly a 3-pointer that would give his team a win or a loss in Saturday’s Chick-Fil-A Holiday Tournament finale.
The buzzer sounded with the ball hitting the high point of its arc and the shot splashed through the net, giving the Trojans a 47-46 overtime win against Goffstown to win their second-straight tournament title at Nashua High School South.
