Top 10 girls lacrosse teams remain the same in this week’s New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Girls Lacrosse Coaches Poll

There might be a lot of fighting for seeding going on in the standings of all three divisions, but for the second straight week, the top 10 looks the same in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Girls Lacrosse Coaches Poll.

Portsmouth is once again at the top, getting eight first-place votes, as the Clippers were off last week, with Souhegan coming in at No. 2. Those two teams have been in those spots for every poll this season.

Pinkerton held on to third this week while Exeter was once again fourth in the poll and Bishop Guertin rounded out the top five.

Winnacunnet remains as the top D2 team in the poll, just barely holding off Londonderry, as the Warriors came in at No. 6 and the Lancers were once against No. 7. Bedford remained at No. 8 while Timberlane held on to the ninth spot and Nashua South again rounded out the top 10.

3. Pinkerton (9-4), 63, 3rd
4. Exeter (9-6), 52, 4th
5. Bishop Guertin (8-4), 46, 5th
6. Winnacunnet (9-2), 40, 6th
7. Londonderry (6-5), 39, 7th
8. Bedford (7-5), 16, 8th
9. Timberlane (9-1), 15, 9th
10. Nashua South (9-4), 12, 10th

Also receiving votes: Merrimack (7-4), 1/11; Goffstown (7-3), 9; St. Thomas (10-2), 6; Hanover (8-3), 5; Gilford (6-3), 4; Dover (4-8), 3; Bow (7-1), 3; Windham (6-7), 2; Salem (2-10), 1.

The coaches poll is voted on by girls lacrosse coaches from around the state and members of the media. Next week’s poll will be released on Tuesday due to the holiday.
