ROCHESTER – Through one half of basketball, Ray Farmer felt like his Trinity High School boys basketball team was playing like it had already lost Wednesday’s Division I semifinal.
Instead, the Pioneers trailed Bedford by just four points after the first 16 minutes, and Farmer told them, they hadn’t even played their brand of basketball.
No. 3 Trinity kept it close early in the third quarter, and when the moment presented itself, the Pioneers pounced, going on a 13-3 run to end the frame to take the lead for good on the way to a 60-46 win over No. 2 Bedford at the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center in Rochester.
