Trinity boys track sneaks past Windham to win D2 title
Trinity Pioneers

The Trinity High School boys track team won six events to slip past Windham to win the Division II indoor track title, the first in program history.

The Pioneers, who had just six athletes competing in the meet, finished with 66 points to come in ahead of the Jaguars (58). Merrimack Valley was third with 40 points.

Sebastian Eaton led the way for Trinity, winning the 55- and 300-meter dashes, while also running a leg of the 4×200 and 4×400 relays, which both finished first.

Oyster River’s Patrick O’Brien also won the 1,500- and 3,000-meter runs, setting a state record in the later. His times of 8 minutes, 39.52 seconds broke the record set by Bishop Guertin’s Francis Hernandez in 2009.
