Weather pushes American Legion Tournament back a day

NASHUA – The final two games of the New Hampshire American Legion Senior Tournament will take place starting Tuesday morning, after Monday’s storms made Holman Stadium unplayable.

Starting at 10 a.m., Sweeney Post 2 and Derry Post 9 will resume the game they started Monday, with Sweeney holding a 1-0 lead and Derry coming to bat in the bottom of the second. When that game is finished, the winner will take on Dover Post 8 in the state championship game.

Both teams were able to keep themselves amused before Monday’s game was called off.
