Coming off a big final week of the regular season, the Windham High School boys lacrosse team made a move in this week’s NHHSSports Coaches Poll.

The Jaguars moved up two spots to No. 8, Windham’s highest ranking of the season, as the playoffs get underway. Meanwhile, Bishop Guertin held the top spot for the 35th week in a row, getting 17 of 18 first-place votes despite seeing its 13-game win streak come to an end.

The Cardinals will be the No. 2 seed in the Division I tournament, as they’ll host Concord in a quarterfinal on Saturday. Bedford, which took the remaining first-place vote, came in at No. 2 for the fifth week in a row. The Bulldogs earned the No. 1 seed in D1 and will host Dover on Saturday in the quarterfinal round.

Portsmouth came in at No. 3 while Exeter and Derryfield again rounded out the top five, respectively, the fifth week in a row the upper half of the poll has remained unchanged. The Clippers are the top seed in Division II and will host either Hollis Brookline or Goffstown in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

The Blue Hawks took the No. 3 seed in D1 and host Londonderry in Saturday’s quarterfinal, while the Cougars are the No. 2 seed in D2 and awaits either Alvirne or Oyster River-Newmarket. They’ll host the winner also on Saturday in the quarterfinals.

Pinkerton held on to the No. 6 spot in the poll and earned the No. 4 seed in D1, as the Astros will host Merrimack in the quarterfinals on Saturday. Timberlane remained at No. 7 after getting the No. 4 seed in D2, with the Owls hosting a preliminary-round game with Hanover on Thursday.

Windham, which moved up from the final spot to No. 8, will be the No. 3 seed in D2, hosting Kennett on Thursday in the preliminary round. St. Thomas dropped a spot to No. 9 and earned the No. 5 seed in D2, getting a home game against Keene-Monadnock in Thursday’s prelims.

Londonderry fell one spot to No. 10, and after earning the No. 6 in D1, the Lancers will head to Exeter on Saturday for the quarterfinals.

Here is the NHHSS Boys Lacrosse Coaches Poll for this week. These are the top 10 lacrosse teams in the state, with records, first-place votes/points, and last week’s ranking (T=tie). There will be no top 10 next week and the final poll for 2024 will be released June 10.
