The Warriors climbed four spots to No. 5 after picked up wins over Goffstown, Bishop Guertin and Spaulding to open the season. Portsmouth remained at No. 1, getting eight first-place votes, while Souhegan and Merrimack took the other two top votes.
The Clippers will go to Amherst on Monday to face the team that sits at second in the poll, the Sabers, in a rematch of last year’s Division I championship game. Portsmouth will also play at Winnacunnet on Wednesday and at Dover on Friday, while Souhegan plays at Nashua North on Friday.
Pinkerton held on to the third spot in the poll, with the Astros hosting Dover on Monday before going to Westford (Mass.) Academy on Tuesday and then traveling to face Manchester Central-West on Friday.
Exeter moved up one spot to No. 4 heading into a three-game week, as the Blue Hawks go to Salem on Monday before hosting Londonderry on Wednesday and Winnacunnet on Friday. The Warriors, who round out the top five, will also go to Oyster River-Newmarket on Monday for a tough three-game week.
Bishop Guertin dropped two spots to No. 6 after a pair of losses, with the Cardinals looking to bounce back against Manchester Central-West on Tuesday and at Windham on Thursday. Londonderry moved up a spot to No. 7 with home games against Nashua North on Monday and Salem on Friday around Wednesday’s game at Exeter.
Nashua South moved down one spot to No. 8 despite winning all three of its games last week. The Panthers will look to keep things going against Bedford on Monday before traveling to Windham on Wednesday and Merrimack on Thursday.
Speaking of the Tomahawks, they went up one spot to No. 9 ahead of a four-game week that will also see Merrimack host Keene-Monadnock on Monday, go to Timberlane on Wednesday and host Merrimack Valley on Friday, along with the game against South.
St. Thomas moved into the top 10 to wrap up the poll this week, with the Saints going to Milford on Monday and then to Bow on Thursday.
