CONCORD – It was the kind of play the Bishop Brady High School field hockey team has been trying to make all season long.
And in Thursday’s Division III preliminary-round game against Kearsarge, it was a good thing for the Giants that they did.
Early in the second quarter, Bishop Brady created a turnover in transition, with Kimble Rose getting the ball into the circle to Olivia Lazear. The senior was alone with just Kearsarge goalie Luna Landers to beat and she did, and the No. 6 Giants made that score hold up for a 1-0 win over the No. 11 Cougars.
