Exeter continues to climb in New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Girls Lacrosse Coaches Poll

The Exeter High School girls lacrosse team picked up three wins last week, two by a single goal, helping them continue to move up in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll.

After beating Londonderry in overtime and coming back to know off Winnacunnet, the Blue Hawks jumped a spot for the second week in a row to come in at No. 3. Portsmouth was once again No. 1 in the poll, getting nine first-place votes, while Merrimack received the other first-place vote.

Souhegan was a unanimous choice at No. 2 in the poll, marking the Sabers’ third-straight week in that spot. Exeter traded places with Pinkerton, which came in at No. 4 after sitting third in the first two polls of the year. Londonderry jumped up a spot to round out the top five.

Winnacunnet, which dropped its first two games of the season last week, moved down one spot to No. 6, while Bishop Guertin also dropped a spot to No. 7. Nashua South held on to eighth for the second week in a row.

Bedford moved back into the top 10 after dropping out last week, taking the ninth spot, while Timberlane, which started the season 5-0, joins the poll for the first time, coming in at No. 10.
